Richard Johnson originates and negotiates the underwriting of proposed projects. He analyzes the financials of deal structures, closes project financing, and manages the internal operations of the company. During his tenure at Barker Pacific Group, Richard has been involved in financing over $1 billion of commercial projects.
Before coming to Barker Pacific Group in 1986, Richard was a Senior Vice President at Guardian Savings and Loan in Houston, where he managed a $450 million commercial real estate portfolio that consisted primarily of new construction. Prior to joining Guardian, he was the CFO of Michels Financial Corporation in Milwaukee and an Audit Manager with the Milwaukee office of Arthur Andersen & Co. Richard holds a MA in Accounting from Ohio State University and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
